Luxe Indulgence Lay-By

Luxe Indulgence offers a Lay-By (payment plan) privilege on select items, allowing clients to reserve an item with a non-refundable 20% deposit, applied toward the total purchase price.

Once an item is placed on lay-by, it is withdrawn from sale and reserved exclusively for the client until payment is completed in full.

Formation of Lay-By Agreement

A binding lay-by agreement is formed once the client selects Lay-By / Bank Transfer at checkout and the 20% deposit is received. By proceeding, the client acknowledges and agrees to the terms set out in this policy.

Payment Terms

• A minimum 20% deposit is required to secure the item
• Weekly or Fortnightly instalments are recommended; early settlement is welcomed
• The full balance must be paid within six (6) weeks from the deposit date

How to Purchase on Lay-By

To place an item on lay-by:

  1. Proceed to checkout and select Lay-By / Bank Transfer

  2. Complete checkout — bank transfer details are displayed at checkout

  3. Pay the 20% deposit to the nominated account provided

  4. Email contact@luxeindulgence.com.au to confirm your lay-by purchase

Clients without an Australian bank account may contact us prior to checkout to arrange payment via PayPal.

Cancellations, Forfeiture & Default

If the client cancels the lay-by or fails to complete payment within the agreed timeframe:
• The 20% deposit will be forfeited
• Deposits are strictly non-transferable
• The lay-by agreement will be terminated without further notice
• The item may be returned to sale immediately

The forfeited deposit represents a genuine pre-estimate of loss, reflecting administrative costs, loss of sale opportunity, and the exclusive reservation of a high-value item. This is permitted under the Australian Consumer Law and does not constitute a penalty.

Extensions

A one-to-two week extension may be considered at the sole discretion of Luxe Indulgence and must be approved in writing via email at contact@luxeindulgence.com.au. Without written confirmation, the original lay-by period remains binding.

Cancellation by Luxe Indulgence

If Luxe Indulgence is unable to supply the item for any reason, the lay-by agreement will be cancelled and all monies paid will be refunded in full, in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.


Refunds & Returns

Lay-by deposits are non-refundable where the client cancels or fails to complete payment.

Once a lay-by is paid in full, the purchase is considered complete and subject to Luxe Indulgence’s refunds and returns framework.

Refunds are not provided for change of mind. However, this policy does not limit your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, including remedies for items that are faulty, significantly not as described, or unfit for purpose.


Authenticity Guarantee

Luxe Indulgence guarantees that all items sold are 100% authentic.

Each item is carefully assessed prior to listing. By purchasing, the client acknowledges that:
• Items are pre-loved unless stated otherwise
• Signs of wear consistent with age and use may be present
• Condition descriptions and images form part of the contract of sale

No refunds or cancellations are granted on the basis of condition where it has been accurately described.

This authenticity guarantee operates in addition to, and does not replace, your rights under Australian Consumer Law.


Shipping Policy

Shipping is arranged only once a lay-by has been paid in full.

Upon final payment:
• Items are dispatched within the timeframe stated on the product listing
• Shipping costs, courier selection, and insurance options are outlined at checkout or invoice
• Risk of loss passes to the client upon dispatch, subject to Australian Consumer Law

Luxe Indulgence is not responsible for delays caused by third-party couriers, customs processing, or circumstances beyond our control.

Insurance

Due to the high-value nature of our items, shipping insurance is strongly recommended. Where insurance is declined, Luxe Indulgence’s liability is limited to the extent permitted by law.


Dispute Resolution

In the event of a dispute relating to lay-by, refunds, authenticity, or shipping:
• Clients agree to first contact Luxe Indulgence in writing at contact@luxeindulgence.com.au
• Both parties agree to act in good faith to resolve the matter promptly and discreetly
• Nothing in this policy limits the client’s right to pursue remedies under the Australian Consumer Law


Consumer Guarantees

Nothing in these policies excludes, restricts, or modifies any rights or guarantees available to consumers under the Australian Consumer Law.

What are your consignment fees?

We charge 20% of the sale price on top of a one-time $50 Authentication Fee.

What items do you accept?

We accept brand new, pre-loved and vintage designer bags, watches, jewellery, accessories. All pre-loved items must be in excellent, good, and fair condition. When filling up the form, kindly inform us of any known flaws or defects by adding them to your description and photos.

What designer brands do you accept?

What happens if my item(s) don't sell?

We will keep your item up on our website and market it with our current collectionfor up to 60 days. After that period, we will give you the option to decrease the price or we will return the item back to you - free of charge.
